Dr. Sapna Bhatia graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College in Mumbai, India. She completed her residency in internal medicine from Sanford School of Medicine and fellowship in sleep medicine, pulmonary and critical care medicine from University of New Mexico School of Medicine.

Dr. Bhatia treats all conditions, but has a special interest in pulmonary hypertension, interventional pulmonary, lung cancer, COPD epidemiology and parasomnias.
EXPERIENCE
Dr. Bhatia is a pulmonologist at Lung Center of Nevada, a division of Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada, who treats patients with lung disease and sleep disorders including asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, chronic cough, nicotine dependence, snoring, insomnia and obstructive sleep apnea.
Prior to joining Lung Center of Nevada, Dr. Bhatia was a hospitalist physician at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She has authored and co-authored various publications and participated in a number of poster and oral presentations. She also lectured and participated in numerous academic teaching opportunities on pulmonary disease and sleep disorders. She was awarded “teaching fellow of the year” in 2017.
