He has served as a member of the Orlando Health Heart Failure Committee, the Orange County Medical Society and the ACP Florida Chapter Council of Residents/Fellows. Dr. Abbott has volunteered with HOPE Worldwide Honduras, distributing medication and administering acute medical care to rural populations.
