Overview

Ronald L. Terry, MD, is board-certified in radiation oncology. His personal and professional roots across the southeast United States contribute to his finely tuned southern sense of humor and gentle ways with patients. A native of Pensacola, FL, Dr. Terry graduated from NC State University with honors in chemical engineering. He received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. His radiation oncology training at the NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center at Wake Forest University School of Medicine led to private practice positions in Asheville, NC, and Greenville, SC, before he formed Athens Radiation Oncology in Athens, GA in 1999. His group merged with UCBC in 2005. Dr. Terry is a member of the medical staff at Athens Regional Medical Center and St. Mary’s Healthcare System. He is also a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), the American Brachytherapy Society, and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
