UVMMC is a wonderful hospital system (with numerous outpatient affiliates—all thoroughly vetted). I have been treated as an inpatient and as an outpatient, and have been satisfied with the treatment I have received. I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Melissa Barrup of Colchester Family Practice as my PCP. I’ve had great experiences with outpatient specialists as well, such as Dr. Sanjeev Patel in rheumatology.I have also had positive experiences at the UVMMC walk-in clinic and Emergency Department. Additionally, Seneca Center and the Mood and Anxiety Disorder Clinic at UVMMC, which provide intensive outpatient psychiatric/psychological treatment, are bar none the best, most effective mental health treatment programs that I have ever experienced.
The doctors and nurses are always friendly and willing to answer questions. The online portal makes it easy to schedule appointments and get in contact with the office regarding non-urgent matters.
