A city-owned, not-for-profit critical access hospital, Hedrick Medical Center is the only Joint Commission-accredited hospital in north-central Missouri. The 25-bed acute care hospital offers comprehensive care, including a 24-hour emergency department staffed by board-certified physicians, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic testing, a spacious maternity unit, a Women's Center featuring 3-D mammography, inpatient and outpatient surgery, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, an Intensive Care Unit featuring eICU, a specialty clinic, and primary care offices adjoining the facility.

Honestly, I only think of this hospital as a 'passing through' hospital. I was disappointed in the doctor who treated my mother - he didn't know a thing about her, and drew his own conclusions that she had dementia, and her behavior was because of her dementia. My mother doesn't have dementia, and that was a symptom, and not a cause. I was very aggravated with the doctor on call.
