Overview of Jackson Park Hospital & Medical Center

Jackson Park Hospital (JPH) is proud to have served the healthcare needs of our patients and community on the south side of Chicago for nearly one hundred years. Our hospital’s dedicated staff continuously strives to provide quality healthcare in a caring and compassionate manner with continuous quality improvement and patient safety as its focus and desired outcome. We offer a wide range of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic, therapeutic and ancillary services with a commitment to medical education at all levels. The emergency department projects approximately 25,000 patient visits annually with full-time attending physician coverage, nurse practitioners, resident physicians and medical students.

The hospital also provides medical education and training through its family medicine residency program and several affiliated medical schools.

The hospital serves a very high indigent population. Approximately 80 percent of the hospital's patients are covered by Medicare and Medicaid. Since 1959, Jackson Park Hospital & Medical Center has invested more than $32M in expansion and renovation to provide services that were previously unavailable in the community it serves and yet constantly strives to better serve the growing needs of the community.
