Proudly serving the community since 1973, Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center has provided excellent and compassionate care to the San Fernando Valley. In addition to heart, vascular, orthopedic, cancer and women’s services, we house the largest Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the area and our emergency department has been designated by the Los Angeles County Department of Health as a STEMI and stroke receiving center.

Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana is also one of a few community hospitals in the region equipped to handle pediatric emergencies, pediatric intensive care and other pediatric sub-specialties. In our Pediatric Unit as well as in our Mozilo Family Foundation Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, we partner with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, named a “best hospital” for children by U.S. News & World Report magazine and awarded Magnet status by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Together, we can ensure that the care provided for our youngest patients is grounded in leading-edge industry practices and award-winning expertise. In addition, Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana has met rigorous pediatric emergency care standards and is approved as an "Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP)". This certification by the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Agency means that any sick or injured child will be taken to an EDAP-certified hospital first whenever 911 is called with a pediatric emergency. Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) ranked in the top ten percent out of 373 participating hospitals in the Vermont Oxford NICU morbidity and mortality study.
