Saw her in April 2020. It was the beginning of Covid & I found an old N95 mask in the basement that had been there for years, my son had used it, & had paint on it. It was the only mask I had & I wore it to the office visit. She walked in & attacked me (before she even said hi) saying why didn't I donate the mask to a healthcare worker? No hospital in their right mind would accept a used mask with Dust & paint on it plus it was none of her business. Fast-forward to April 2021. I finally got my hip replacement with Dr. Clarke, & I go to the 2-wk. postop visit. I had a complication the week prior & Mary referred me to another medical office, they could not accommodate my spine and it was a Friday afternoon nightmare. I asked in my post-op visit that before you make those referral’s again, please call me & ask me where I want to go because my spine is fused & I can't get on & off certain exam tables- the way I handle that is to call the facility ahead of time. She again attacked me & said yes you can get on an exam table from the end of a table, and she jumped up on the orthopedic exam table at SOS & proceeded to roll backwards vertebrae by vertebrae, extend her elbows, lower down her shoulders & then her neck. I repeated to her my entire spine (T3-pelvic) and half my neck is fused- I can't do that. I am also 61 years old. I would fall & sprain my neck. People get hurt when they fall & I could jar my less than 2 week old hip replacement in a traumatic fall. Then she started to argue, and I replied, look I have been hurt in a medical care facility when they did not listen to my spinal restrictions, and she picked a fight trying to be right just like she did with the mask. Also, I specifically asked her at the preop visit before the hip replacement to talk to Dr. Clarke about my situation because my entire spine is fused. She did not do that, she doesn't listen, nor does she remember who you are. At another point in the post-op office visit she said, “and you're still on the 81 mg of aspirin?” and I said don't you remember last week you sent me for the Doppler ultrasound of my leg to check for any beginnings of a blood clot, the scan was clean, and took me off the aspirin? And her response was, “no, I see over a hundred patients a week.” What happened to reviewing the patient chart or some remembrance of the patients’ history or rare medical condition when you have pointed it out before? Or sending me for a non-common 8 day post-op ultrasound? She's arrogant, incompetent, & rude.
