I'm very disappointed with Dr. Noland. She initiated a conversation with me about my husband and I wanting to try and get pregnant in the near future. It was a short conversation before the regular procedure I was about to have.
A week later I received a $95 bill. I was confused because my procedure should have been fully covered by my insurance. When I called to find out what had happened, I was told that Dr. Noland was charging me $95 for "pregnancy counseling".....
A 10 minute conversation---IF THAT---which SHE initiated was being billed to me as "counseling" and my insurance doesn't cover said "counseling".... I already wasn't a huge fan of her. She talks extremely loud, which HAS to be a HIPAA violation (and at the very least it's just annoying and rude to do to someone in a private exam room). She's not very personable or likeable in general and is kind of negligent and dismissive, but for the last two years I've tried to give her the benefit of the doubt.
But starting up a conversation with a patient and then charging them, without their knowledge, nearly $100 for it is incredibly messed up. If I'd known she'd charge me to talk to her, I would have never spoken to her. I responded to her inquiries assuming that she was a kind, caring doctor, desiring to find out my situation and offer input. I was mistaken. She was merely blabbing, without consent, to rack up a bill for me, which I'm sure she knew my insurance wouldn't cover.
After this experience (among others), I've had enough and will not be returning to her again. And I would not recommend her if you are looking for a new doctor. Steer clear.
