Overall I've been fairly satisfied. Recently, I called to get several questions answered and really could not get a satisfactory answer from the precertification nurse about a procedure I am wanting to have done. Usually, I do get my questions answered. I have had very good luck with finding there representatives helping me with claims, however. Overall, I am satisfied.

My family has had the unfortunate experience of having Molina in the past, so it seems likely my opinion is skewed a bit as ANY insurance is head and shoulders above that joke of an insurance company. That said, I have not had issues with Healthlink. They seem to be about on par with United from my experience with them. My employer is a self-funded plan, so I'm not entirely sure it's fair to blame the costs or coverage's on Healthlink, that said, my plan is more costly to my family than other plans we have been with.

Their claims process is very slow. In addition, they keep asking for documentation. High co-pay and out of pocket costs. My previous insurance was excellent - labor/delivery was covered fully with only $300 out of pocket costs. With this insurance, we ended up paying over $2000 for the birth of our child. I have this insurance, because premiums are reasonable since its employment based.

Since Springfield Clinic switched to Health Link key benefits, deductibles are unbelievably high and copays are high as well. This makes it very hard to medical bills even if it is just a doctor's visit but especially for surgeries.
