Overview of Anthem Health Keepers

Anthem HealthKeepers POS plans are offered by HealthKeepers, Inc., a health maintenance organization. Each enrolled family member must select his or her own Primary Care Physician (PCP) who will provide or coordinate their medical care. The PCP will maintain the member’s history and can help them see the right specialist when necessary. The member can see them for almost all of their general health care needs, and pay a predictable copay amount for most services.
The doctors, hospitals and other health care professionals in the Anthem HealthKeepers plan network agree to accept a set fee as payment for covered services, thereby helping to contain medical costs. All of our Anthem HealthKeepers plans are Point-of-Service (POS), which means you can use your benefits in or out of the plan. However, you can expect to pay more for services received out of the plan.
