Our History
Gateway Health Plan was established in 1992 as an alternative to the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare's Medical Assistance Program. For over 25 years, our members have benefited from services such as: Disease management, health and wellness programs and preventative care.

Gateway Health is one of the nation’s leading managed care organizations that serves more than 550,000 members across five states. Gateway Health’s network includes more than 78,000 physicians and health care providers, 400 hospitals, and 75,000 pharmacies and clinics nationwide.
