Should I get regular, feminized or autoflower seeds?

When going through the seed banks, you’ll see that you have a choice between regular, feminized or autoflower marijuana seeds for medical use. ‘Regular’ means that you’re getting a mix of males and females; those are popular among experienced cultivators that prefer seeds that haven’t been inbred ―or backcrossed—, in contrast to autoflowering or feminized seeds. You will have to discard the male ones once their reproductive organs begin to show during the flowering phase, as male seeds do not produce any buds: they pollinate the females and result in seeded flowers. This is a risky and delicate process, as one single stray male can pollinate your entire crop!

Now, unless you have very specific goals and need the male seeds as well, getting feminized seeds ―meaning having only the female ones in your purchased pack― is a much quicker and cost effective option. They start growing immediately, and since there’s no sexing out to be done, you’re getting your buds sooner and much more easily, without having to do extra work.

Finally, if you’re on the less patient side, autoflower seeds are probably your go to. Those seeds change their flowering state as they age, not according to their light cycle, resulting in a shorter growing period ―in many cases even as little as over 2 months until the buds are ready to be cut. Plus, autoflowering plants are ideal for indoor cultivating given their smaller stature, rarely exceeding 1m in height. Bear in mind, though, that those seeds usually stem from Ruderalis, hence they might be less potent than others; of course, this depends on the breeding and the combinations, and you can view the potency levels of any seeds beforehand.

Super Skunk Automatic is 80% indica, a premium combination of Skunk#1 of Sensi Seeds with an Afghani hash plant and a select autoflower. It has a super relaxing, potent effect, making for an amazing smoking experience.

Big Bud

As you can tell from the name, the original Big Bud strain has a huge growth potential; but its large, resin-drenched buds don’t require a plant of maximum size. This is a feminized version, retaining the same high potency and spicy aroma, but reaching a smaller stature of medium height. It’s a combination of Afghani and the famous Skunk, 85% Indica, and it reaches a flowering phase in a short 50–60 after planting. White Widow Automatic

As it can be easily assumed by its name, Royal Dwarf is a strain of compact stature, often referred to as the ‘cannabis bonsai’, reaching no more than 60cm in height in its full potential.

It’s an amazing hybrid of the Easy Bud with the Skunk strain, with a genetic background consisting of 60% Sativa, 10% Indica and 30% Rudelis. The latter percentage makes for autoflowering cultivation properties ―your Dwarf will be ready to harvest in 9 weeks, and you’ll be granted a mild, relaxing high.

Northern Lights Automatic (Zamnesia Seeds)

This is a classic, Ruderalis-prominent strain, perfect for indoor cultivation. Its height rarely exceeds 90-120cm, making it perfect for small spaces, while its flowering phase will only take about 9 weeks.
