Once they have entered your house, you will have to exterminate them one way or another. However, one must always take measures to keep those cockroaches at bay so they would not have to exterminate them in the first place. Below I have mentioned a few tips that will help you make your house cockroach fee, let’s take a look:

Clean Your House Thoroughly

You can make sure that cockroaches don’t enter your house by keeping it neat and clean. If you have seen cockroaches around the house once or twice, then you must take out your cleaning gear and clean your house thoroughly. Mop your floor with the pest repellent floor cleaners and keep your kitchen neat and clean. You must also take out your garbage bins in time so it won’t attract pests. If there are too many cockroaches in your house, then you might want to check other ways to exterminate cockroaches.

PUT TRAPS

Another way to get rid of cockroaches is to put store-bought traps around the house. You can find these traps at any supermarket, and they are easy to set up too. These traps use scents that can attract cockroaches and other types of insects. Once a cockroach enters the trap, they will be stuck to the surface because of the sticky material in it. This kind of trap is effective, but it takes quite some time. You will have to wait a week or two sometimes to get them inside.

BAITS

If you don’t want to set traps and wait for a couple of weeks, then you can get store-bought baits as well. There are chemicals out there that are available in the form of roach food, and all you have to do is spread it around the house. When they cockroaches will eat it they will be sent back to their hiding places, and there they will spread it to other cockroaches as well. In a matter of a week, the poison would have spread to all the cockroaches, and your house will be cockroach free again. Place these baits more close to the garbage cans and sinks in the kitchen.

SEAL ENTRY POINTS

If there are too many entry points in your house that are allowing the cockroaches to walk in whenever they want, then it is time you seal those points. If you have extra space under the doors, then seal it so that they won’t make their way in. DO the same with your windows as they can enter from there as well. Lastly, if you have any holes in the walls of your house, then you must seal them as they can also become their entry point or nest.
